Attitude for learning a Language

    Consistency - learning a language requires constant daily work, every day put a little effort into it. Weather it be 10 minutes or an hour the more you put in to it the more you will get out of it.

     Patience - chances are you are going to make mistakes in the pronunciation. This is all part of the learning process. Just look at little children they are making mistakes for the first 7 years of their lives, they don't let it phase them. They just make the correction and move on. If you don't try and speak the language in some form or another it will never happen.

    Realism  - certain parts of learning a language are difficult. Think about it, a child isn't speaking fluently a language until after 6 or 7 years. And a child is at a maximum peak for language ability. It will take you at least the same amount of time to be fluent and there will be many difficulties and corections that need to be made. Just learn it little by little.

    A language can be spoken with as little as 1000 words. So if you can reach that plateau then you can begin speaking and improving your language. So on the one hand it takes time, on the other, you can begin to speak with as little as 1000 words assimilated.
 
    Know your learning style - know which method helps you to retain the language best. Are you an audio learner who learns by listening, well then maybe a podcast lesson will do it for you. Are you a visual learner, then maybe flash cards will do it for you. Are you a hands on learner, then maybe you need a tutor. Know your style of learning to be able to determine which is the best strategy for learning a language.
